| Thanks! I guess you are Albar? I read the whole thread and I find very unfair the things they said about PJ, even if you don't like him it's truly biased, so thanks God that some balanced opinions appeared. I am glad to have been in Nancy, it was fantastic and the opera was not shortened!! It's great to know Philippe enjoyed a perfect end for his season, so he can start his so deserved holidays | |

| Thanks, Mon! I haven't read the whole thread but will do so when I have time. Is this a blog for professional singers? It's always interesting to get the view from the coal face.
What are these "ragots" that are circulating about the reason for Philippe's absence?
In any case, the gentleman from the New York Times hasn't done his homework - congratulating Daniel Behle for his excellent performance in Nancy - a pity as the review was very fair otherwise. Don't worry - on behalf of the Juan Sancho Appreciation Society, I have set him straight!

Hmm ... as you say, "absurd" - Philippe has been planning the break for a LONG time.

| Fortunately, I could be in Nancy on 10 nov. and in Cologne on 27 dec. My husband and I were sitting on balcon this time. We were so impressed PJ's rectativo. His voice was clear and came straight to our ears. I mentioned this to him, he was very glad to hear it. We felt so happy and we hold our hands tightly. He said it was very busy year and he did so many things and he is content with his voice condition this moment. He is so happy to start having a long vacation especially with a lot of satisfactions. he smiled. | |

| I was there in Nancy on the first night, and it was an experience I will never forget. The costumes, the staging, the music and above all the singing were all, in Farinelli's words, "superba e magnifica". I was a bit jealous that Philippe didn't get to sing "Vo solcando", but Fagioli did a fantastic job of it and I have watched the Youtube clip repeatedly.
The sad part was that for the first time ever I was not able to see Philippe afterwards. I waited for 45 minutes at the artistes' entrance, but I think they were having a first night party as the lights were blazing upstairs, and, as it was pouring with rain and my daughter was falling asleep, I gave up and went back to the hotel. I noticed a couple of other people waiting, two blonde women and a bearded man, who looked vaguely familiar to me, probably from past concerts, and it occurred to me that we Jaroussky groupies should find a way of identifying ourselves so that we could put a face to the names we know from the forum. Maybe a silk iris for Philippe's charity or a blue ribbon? What do you think?

| broschetteYou´re right - I also had the idea with a green ribbon and sometimes it already worked - the main problem (what a pity) is, that not all of the people, who called themselves "fans" want to meet the other " fans" or " admirers" to celebrate their passion together . There are a lot of "loners" I guess ))). The artists were giving autographs after the performance at the table inside of the Theatre, there were not too many people who wanted an autograph - they were going home very fast, maybe because of a long way to drive, so you could have a good chance to meet all of the artists without a long waiting outside . Thank you for your review! P.S Nice mail - address!

| Very well deserved and with Joyce DiDonato as the "Singer of the Year" as well, this award ceremony will definitely be worth watching. I hope that someone (who is NOT a techie duffer like me) will be able to record and upload it - pretty please ... A. | |

Regarding the YT videos from Eccho Awards, can anyone tell me what did Max say about Philippe? I can't understand it...

Only a few words at the very beginning - " Philippe, with whom we already done many projects together, was immediately ready to work in this production".
