It was an absolutely exquisite recital in Paris!
I can hardly describe the feelings to be there and to listen to the two best voices of the beginning of XXI century. ( M.E.Cencic would be the third one, but he wasn´t there))).
Two voices. Sublime duetts and splendid solo - pieces. The words are not enough to express the precious beauty and the true emotions of performance of the both great musicians.
Mr. Scholl was acting the "old experienced" one, with his intelligent and tasteful phrasing , Mr. Jaroussky presented the " young excited" one, with a bright coloraturas, sunny emotions and graceful power.
The duo "My dearest, my fairest" was heavenly. Unconditional beautiful .
At the glorious end , by the encores, they were showing and enjoying also their great taste of humour, singing both baritones and trying to get the last note longer than the other , as a little " competition". But the musical friendship won.
In the audience were M-m Jaroussky, Mr. Jaroussky- senior, M-m Bartoli, Mr. Ducros and the older brother of Mr. Scholl.
And of course, the wonderful people of IRIS - Martine, Maryvonne and ...two more ( the names?)
It was " A Happy Happy Day!"
