Someone already uploaded it! I knew the live version from Mexico before, but this one, just hear it and make up your mind.....incredible! This maturity and warmth in his voice and how he adapted the atmosphere of this kind of music. Very touching .

Thanks for the videos, these were the ones I meant. But he has become even better
since then, I think. Even though one has to consider that the cd is a studio version, there is a new facet in Philippe's voice, this typical melancholic tango attidude. It sounds like black velvet and suits him pretty well. I hope there will be more concerts than Paris and Lourdes.

I think Philippe is perfect singing in spanish!, I heard him in Guanajuato, Mexico last year, I live in Guanajuato actually and when I heard this song " Los pájaros perdidos", I cried... really because when I was little I heard this song all the time, and it was a surprise for me to heard him sing it... a great moment, and I think I will buy this CD...he was and he is amazing... I think iI prefer the Cervantino´s version... just becasue I heard it in live. !

I reckon the review is not very positive? The author says that L'arpeggiata and Hispano-american sounds are not a grea blend?

Gisotiza: I found him amazing in Spanish, I am Spanish myself and I know for a fact how difficult "Los Pajaros" is for a French speaking. I mean the pronunciation is quite hard and he is so good in Italian thata I couldn't expect anything more in another Latin language. He is such a a professional!!

You're lucky to hear him in Guanajuto, I saw some videos in Youtube and the recital seems very funny!

as I understand the reviewer bother mainly the connection of "operatic singing" and "classical music" with the Latin American requirements. It doesn't have a "Latin American effect".

Is Germany ready for a mix of Buena Vista Social Club and Baroque? Usually it´s said that we Germans don´t have any sense for rhythm, so it seems that one half will be difficulty. At the same time we like exotic stuff at least after the Cuban easy going version of Coldplay´s “Clocks” people got the taste of it. With Classic it is of course a whole other story, but how shouldn´t it be better, to put across this antiquated music genre, as with a lightfeeted (?) , southamerican touch.

No chance! The album starts with a punch of something different. Opera singing and chamber music united with minimal latinamerican impressions. Who expected this? Nobody! Surprises don´t have to be bad, but in this case it is. Classic is again presented in a daunting form. Neither friends of classical music à la Mozart and Beethoven will find their pleasure, nor people who are happy to try out new things will like this minimalistic accompanied operettes. Sadly there will be a handful of tracks like this, all of them will arrive the goal below average.

But luckily the producers of this product know how to bring the listeners back on the boat. Admittedly kept astonishing calm and reminding of chamber music, but soothing are the most instrumental pieces. In addition to this - you won´t believe it – there are also representatives of latin music, like you have imagine it as a listener. When in songs like „La Embarazada Del Viento“ the classic music hides it is again another question. When we leave the demands of the mix with classical music we will find also some nice and again more dignified pieces.

If you overjump these mini-operettes the dull aftertaste fades of this even without those too long album. The classic-latin instrumental pieces and also the hispanic elements in the classic free songs are quite backround music for mediterranean evenings or such evenings, which can need a quite flair. The demand of classical music and latinamerican finesse will this album be remain guilty.


I hope it´s understandable I have such a headache and I even have problems with my mothertounge than.

Despite this bad review I will buy the CD, absolutely sure - it' already ordered at amazon.

I think we'll have to make up our minds for ourselves, haven't we? I don't know what
this critic expected, all songs are South American classics, that doesn't necessarily mean Buena Vista Social Club. A lack of knowledge? A general problem dealing with opera voices? I don't get the point. Calling classical musique antiquated? I have a slight impression, the critic is a real expert! Talking about presenting classical music with a "lightfooted touch" in relationship to songs by Mercedes Sosa or tango classics like Los Pajaros Perdidos, he disqualifies himself. I'd recommend to browse around in YouTube, even there he'd learn a lot.
As far as I'm concerned I was (oops he did it again) tenderly shocked by the beauty of P's voice during the last seconds of the promotion video (Ay Este Azul), what a new colour! And I like Raquel Anduza's voice, too. I'll buy it anyway.

I am not a musicien neither a musicologist, but my boyfriend is a notable pianist and a great music lover. He uses to tell me that in classical music realm it is very usual to find a special kind of snooty persons, they use to be very snob and they are so easy to detect because they are always criticising everything

From my point of view, a "lego" one, I only want to be touched by Philippe's beautiful voice and talent. I feel totally blessed when I am working with my Ipod on. I am in heaven

Pity, but the concerts in Germany and Austria are indeed without Philippe - I just called in Heidelberg.

I dont like "Los pajaros perdidos". I adore beautiful Philippe''s voice and his elegance and charm. But the sound of strings instruments break this wonderful magic.I am sorry but I continue to support Philippe's artistic research and career.

On Itunes you can listen to samples now....and I think I will like it and definitly will order it as a CD.

The CD comes together with a nice booklet full of informations and lyrics in spanish, english, french and german - will need some time to spend with it!
