| l've been lucky to visit the Purcell concert and to enjoy the great performance and the warm atmosphere created by the singers ad the musicians. A wonderful surprise of this concert was that PJ sang A Prince which on the disk is performed by Raquel Andueza. | |

| Sunday · 07. July 2014 · Ludwigsburg Stabat Mater Dolorosa and more... L´Arpeggiata · Philippe Jaroussky · Valer SabadusThanks for this beautiful evening! The audience experienced deep emotionality. This concert has fulfilled our hearts and souls with joy again. I loved the duetts from Philippe and Valer very much. Excellent and unique! — — Greatest sensitivity. Pure aesthetics. Perfect team!Christina Pluhar and her ensemble L`Arpeggiata were excellent: What a performance! I was delighted again by Margit Übellacker (psaltery) and Doron Sherwin (cornett). We were able to feel the pleasure of each musician. Great! At the end of the concert: — Standing ovation — 3 encores! — 3 standing ovations — no end! " Please forgive the audience! > Maybe — It was exhausting and demanding. But the audience loved every single note and nobody was able to go!" It was a hot + sultry day — and equally a hotter concert because of an incredible charisma. Thanks to Christina Pluhar, Philippe, Valer and each musician!Paris will be honored tomorrow!!! Enjoy — Enjoy — Enjoy the programm and the beauty! News on the website: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]I read: "The concert will be recorded by German radio Deutschlandfunk, Deutschlandradio Kultur and Südwestrundfunk (SWR)." What a pleasure for all music lovers! Thanks!

| Saskia, You are so right, it was an extraordinary performance! The enjoyment and excitement were so strong that a lot of people just could not leave the place immediately and stayed in the lobby in groups for long, discussing the concert, drinking Champaign, making photos. It looked like there were also international groups of people who met here intentionally and were having a great time together.

| Saskia, thank you for your empathetic review - I can only agree: what a beautiful concert in a beautiful atmosphere with excellent musicians and singers! I loved especially the "Stabat mater" and "Quel buon pastor son io"! And beside all the musical highlights I loved to see the interaction and harmony between all this exceptional artists and their joy of working together! I'm waiting impatiently for the broadcast! What a pity (for us!) that they were in such a hurry and had no time to sign or spend a few minutes with their admirers, who have been waiting for them after the concert... | |

| Dear Nenuphar, it was so hot. We were very happy and we needed icecreme... > a big cooling-down after the fantastic concert ! Maybe — the concert room has 1000 seats... I guess that 300 people wanted a autogramm or exchange a few words with the artists. The concert didn´t have a break... and many encores... and than quickly to Paris for the next concert...? I´m pretty sure: The next autograph session will come with more time... Sunny regards... At least Mr. Sabadus wasn't in such a presumed hurry: The following morning after the concert-evening I accidentially met him at the reception in my hotel next door to the Forum Concert Hall in Ludwigsburg. We got in a short conversation. It seems me to be interesting, that he agreed the final part of "Stabat mater" (Quando corpus morietur...) having been performed perfectly by him and Philippe Jaroussky just at the very ending -given as the last encore, here finally sung by them really tranquillo and smorzando pianissimo.
But as you describe it: This concert has been a heart-touching experience, enthusiasticly celebrated by the audience.

| Heard the same concert in Versailles on Tuesday. I'm at a loss for words (for once!!) to describe such beauty of sound and in such a remarkable setting. "Quando corpus morietur" was just, err, well, it made me almost wish that I was religious - I did say "almost"! - and I am delighted to have discovered Caldara's beautiful religious music, something new for me (never cared too much for his operatic arias). | The program of the SWR2 radio transmission included three arias from Maddalena ai piedi di Cristo by Antonio Caldara: 1. Da quel strale che stilla veleno (P. Jaroussky) 2. Per il mar del pianto mio (Valer Sabadus) 3. Sù, lieti festeggiate (P. Jaroussky) and 4. Stabat Mater by Giovanni Battista Pergolesi (P. Jaroussky and V. Sabadus).
It was so nice to feel the atmosphere of this great performance once again!
