won ECHO Klassik 2012 as "The best opera recording of the year".
The Award-presentation will take place in Berlin
on 14.10.2012 and broadcast on ZDF the same evening at 22.00.

I do hope that this means that Max will be putting in a live appearance too. It would be a shame if he didn't - it's an album of duets, after all!

I´m curious, who will give an laudatio on M.-E. Cencic - the CD which will be awarded called "Duetti", I hope, they don´t forget this.

You took the words out of my mouth, Mr. Artaserse! Max deserves half the credit for "Duetti" and he also features on the recording of Gluck's "Ezio" which is also due to receive an award (see above). But I feel sure that Philippe will be gentleman enough to give Max the credit that's due to him even if nobody else does ...

....the more - Mr. Cencic with his "Parnassus Art Production" is also the "spiritus rector" of "Artaserse" - cast and tour. So I guess, he will be highly praised for his artistic and organizational merits for Music.

Ah I wish I could see this, but alas, I live too far. Congratulations to M. Jaroussky as always for winning another Echo award! He certainly deserves every one he's got to date, and I wouldn't be surprised if he continued to out-perform himself in the future and win even more. Bravo! :wizard:

EDIT: Nevermind, I got it to work. I was so happy to hear Philippe's voice be mentioned! As soon as I heard it I think I leapt 5 feet in the air, I thought he would be on in the program much later than he was. And when he sat down I thought for a moment that those two people must be his parents. I hope they are - it would be nice for them to celebrate this event with him!
