Hi everybody!
I'm so excited. Yesterday I could make a dream come true: to saw/listen Mr. Jaroussky live in concert with L'Arpeggiata. It was a wonderful night, full of beautiful music and the Philippe's charming voice. The setlist (as printed on program) was:
Monteverdi - Ohimé! Ch'io cado * Piazzolla - Los pájaros perdidos * Gragnaniello - Ciaccona del Inferno e del Paradiso * Hidalgo - El guapo *
Four encores was given, and what a great surprise that twice were sunged by Philippe in perfect spanish (as we know, he speak very well spanish).
What else can I say? I just have to reafirm everything that we know about Philippe's voice: sweet, pure, just beautiful. L'Arpeggiata are wonderful musicians.
I must repeat, it was a dream come true for me. I never thought that Mr. Jaroussky comes to this country and share all his art and voice with mexican public, or at least, not too soon.
Here is the only video I could catch inside. It's just a fragment of 'Los pájaros perdidos' by Astor Piazzolla. Just watch and comment.
I could take some pictures at the end of the show. I promess to get some in better quality and share them with you.

How very lucky you are!
And thanks for the video!!! I never heard the song before but it clicks with me instantly! The serenity, the yearning, and Philippe's enchanting voice, it's magical!

How lucky of you, Corona! Yes, it is always a dream come true, when we can listen and see Jaroussky live. Fortunately I know the experience, too!
Congratulations Mercè

Carnegie Hall was on its feet, yelling, clapping, stomping....you would not believe all these new yorkers totally undone by the cute french boy!!!Unfortunately there were also some very unfriendly big men who strictly forbade photographs.."And keep the line moving, folks"...The encore Ohime ch'io cado was a surprise seeing Philippe so comfortably spinning and moving his hips....not quite Shakira but....WOW .The repertoire was as above...thanks, corona_88! And how did you manage pictures???Well I was sort of far back! Phillippe's whole expression passed from sweet and mournful voice to naughty flirty boy without a hitch. He is SOOO charming and his rapport with people is incredible, he seduces and entertains, then moves you to tears....AHI DESTIN!!! He manages to make it new even if we have seen him do it all before. My only sadness is I was not allowed to take pictures and I am a very shy pirate. Here is a link from the review in Gramophone of the NY concert.

The concert in Guanajuato was really nice. I was reading some post here, and like everyone else I made a dream come true .
I actually had the chance to talk with him. And I give him a present. He was very nice, and I told him that everytime I work I listen to his CD and he said: " Oh, for inspiration". Well he is great.
Have a good week everyone.
